Abstract

ABSTRACT Suciati SID 17010106038. EFL Students’ Perceptions of Bilingual Storybook Making Project in Translation Class. Supervised by: Dr. Sitti Nurfaidah, M.Ed. The purpose of this research is to identify students' perceptions of bilingual storybook making projects in Translation class. This qualitative study involved 13 English education major students that were recruited based on their activeness as the members of their group. Data analysis from stimulated recall interviews revealed that there were two emerging perceptions about Translation project-based tasks, i.e. positive perceptions and negative perceptions. In the Translation project-based task, the students felt excited because they were challenged to finish the project and also surprised because they had never previously worked on a project in making story books. Meanwhile, students' difficulties were perceived as negative attitude toward of the projects that they had worked on.
