Abstract

ABSTRACT Muhamad Fajar. SID 17010106057. EFL Students’ Experiences in Translation Project-Based Learning. Supervised by: Isna Humaera S.Ag, S.Pd, M.Pd. and Suhartini Syukri, S. Pd.I, S. Pd, M. Pd. This qualitative research aims at describing students’ experiences in translation project-based learning. The project focuses on storybook making and how the project can be used and impressive for the students. The participants of this study consist of 25 students from the students of Translation class, class A and B in the fifth semester of the academic year of 2017 in one of the Islamic institutes in Kendari. The qualitative data were analyzed by questionnaire and students’ reflection (Antonio et al., 2010). The results of the research revealed that the students’ opinions, difficulties, differences opinion, solve problems, and the unpleasant experiences in translation project-based learning. It further shows that the project-based learning model can train creative thinking, communication, translating skills, English skills improvement, and challenging hence it is suitable to be applied in Translation class.
