Abstract

ABSTRACT Julaiha. 15010106034. Students’ Motivat ion in Learning English wit h Pre-Service Teacher. Supervised by: Abdul Halim, S.Pd., M. TESOL. and Suhartini Syukri, S.Pd.I., S.Pd.,M.Pd. This qualitative study aims to determine the motivation to learn English of students with pre-service teachers in one of the state vocational schools in Kendari. This study focuses on the students motivation in learn English with preservice teachers in class one accounting. This study uses descriptive qualitative and student reflection to obtain data. This study involved 31 students consisting of 5 male students and 26 female students. Data were collected through teaching reflection. The data is then analyzed through data coding. The results showed that some students were motivated based on the time of learning English, applying games; moreover,forming small and large groups while studying. In addition, for the rest students, they difficult to accept the subject matter taught by the pre service teacher since students' motivation was still lacking.
