Abstract

ABSTRACT Khoerunisa NIM 15010106047. EFL Students’ Motivation in Learning Writing. Advised by: Dr. Sitti Nurfaidah, M. Ed. This objective of this research is to know the level of students’ writing motivation, to know the level students’ writing ability, and to know whether there is any positive and the ability among the eleventh grade students of Senior High School SMA Negeri 1 Kendari in the academic 2018/2019. The setting of the research is at SMA Negeri 1 Kendari. Then, the subject is X MIPA 5 at SMA Negeri 1 Kendari that has a total is 36 students in the class which consisted of 12 males students and females 24 students. The research is established through a simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this research are the questionnaire. The writer used a questionnaire to know the levels the students’ writing motivation. Furthermore, From the calculation from the questionnaire, the research found that students’ intrinsic motivation has 85,9% and On the side, from the calculation of the students’ extrinsic motivation, the research finds the percentage that 99.9% for the students’ extrinsic motivation.
