Abstract

ABSTRACT Wa Ode Zulhidjah Awalyah /SID 16010106008. Students‟ Response Toward Pairwork Information Gap Activity in the EFL Classroom. Supervised by: Abdul Halim, S.Pd., MA.TESOL The purpose of this research was to analyse and investigate the students' respond toward Pairwork Information Gap activity in the EFL classroom. The participants of this study consist of 18 students from Senior High School in SMAN 11 Kendari at XI.MIA 1 who were selected based on their participated in the classroom in the learning process. The students were done to follow the learning process used PIG method from the researcher. The qualitative data were analyzed by observation form video recorded, questionnaire, and reflection from the students. The results of the research indicated that the students enjoyed the teaching process used PIG method. The students felt comfortable, enthusiastic, happy, and did not get bored to learn English in the classroom. This the students also find out that PIG could motivated them to study in the classroom. This study implies that the use of PIG activity in the classroom should involve many kinds activity to raise students attention in learning process.
