Abstract

ABSTRACT Wa Ode Nur Aminah Amaliah SID 17010106005. The Shift of Teaching Beliefs of Pre-Service Teachers after Field Teaching Practice. Supervised by: Dr. Sitti Nurfaidah, S.Pd., M.Ed. The purpose of this qualitative research is to investigate the shift of teaching beliefs of pre-service teachers after field teaching practice. The participants consisted of 20 students of English Education major in a higher institute in Souheast Sulawesi. The qualitative data were analyzed using reflection sheet. The research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive data analysis technique. It further show that shift belief is important in improving the quality of teaching practice such as teacher awareness, teaching method, teaching attitude, and students development. The results of the research revealed that the pre-service teacher experiences a change in belief after field teaching practice in school.
