Abstract

SELLY WATI. NIM. 18010105037,“Persepsi Orang Tua Terhadap Eksistensi Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Di Desa Koroe Onowa Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Kabupaten Wakatobi, “Dibimbing Oleh (Dr. Hj. Hadi Machmud, M.Pd dan La Ode Anhusadar, S.Pd.I, M.Pd). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: bagaimana persepsi orang tua terhadap eksistensi pendidikan anak usia dini di Desa Koroe Onowa Kecamatan wangi-Wangi Kabupaten Wakatobi, apa faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi orang tua di Desa koroe Onowa dan untuk mengetahui upaya sekolah dalam mengubah persepsi negatif orang tua terhadap PAUD KB Onowa di Desa koroe Onowa Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Kabupaten Wakatobi. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deksriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 2-6 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara/observasi dan dokumentasi gambar. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dengan menggunakan beberapa informan yaitu orang tua anak usia dini dan masyarakat Desa koroe Onowa berjumlah 22 orang tua, Tokoh Adat dan Agama, Kepala Desa, Aparat Desa bberjumlah 3 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persepsi orang tua terhadap eksistensi PAUD ada yang menganggap penting dan ada yang menganggap kurang/tidak penting dalam menyekolahkan anak. (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi orang tua yaitu faktor internal tentang pengalaman orang tua yang tidak bersekolah di PAUD dan pengalaman orang tua dalam melihat kondisi PAUD, faktor eksternal yaitu harapan orang tua yang tidak sesuai saat menyekolahkan anaknya di PAUD dan literasi tentang pemahaman orang tua terhadap PAUD masih kurang. (3) Upaya PAUD KB Onowa dalam mengubah persepsi negatif orang tua belum terlaksana baik secara formal maupun nonformal. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Orang Tua, PAUD SELLY WATI. The purpose of this study was to determine parents' perceptions of the existence of early childhood education, to find out what factors influence parents' perceptions of PAUD. To find out the school's efforts in changing parents' negative perceptions of PAUD KB in Koroe Onowa Village, Kecamatan. Regency Wangi-Wangi. Wakatobi. The research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were parents who had children aged 2-6 years. Data collection techniques in this study used interview techniques, participant observation, and image documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. By using several informants, namely parents of early childhood and the Koroe Onowa Village Community totaling 22 parents, traditional and religious leaders, village heads, village officials totaling 3 people. The results of this study indicate that (1) parents' perceptions of the existence of PAUD are important and not important in educating their children. (2) factors that influence parents' perceptions, namely internal factors about the experience of parents not attending PAUD and parents' experience in seeing PAUD conditions, external factors, namely parents' expectations that are not appropriate when entering their children in PAUD and literacy or parental understanding of PAUD is still lacking. (3) The efforts of the Onowa KB PAUD in changing the negative perceptions of parents have so far not carried with parents, both formally and non-formally.
