Abstract
ABSTRACT Puspita SID 17010106025. “EFL Students’ Challenges on Bilingual Storybook Making in Translation Project-Based Learning.” Supervised by Isna Humaera S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd and Dewi Atikah MA.TESOL The main objective of this research is to find out the challenges faced by EFL students in completing Translation of Project-Based Learning in the fifth semester for English Department students at an institution in Kendari. This project focuses on storybook creation and also aims to explore how the project can be useful for students. This study uses qualitative methods to collect data through reflection as a research instrument. A total of 10 students from the Translation class participated in this study during the 2019 school year. The research findings revealed that most of the participants had difficulty translating. The various challenges they face were also identified. This includes selecting appropriate storybook content, selecting story designs in this case covers and images, translating stories, and setting time for group work. However, most of the students found translating and designing storybooks quite challenging. Keywords: Bilingual Storybook Making, EFL, Project-Based Learning, Translation Project
